The primary argument of this article is to cover the recognition to the public about the long-term impacts on families of military servicemen. The article explains more about how deployments can be extended or even on shorter rotations than most people would think. The writers of this article concluded that even though some of the variables with deployments, for example, the length and combat vulnerability could not be entirely assessed, there is a substantial analysis that explains the importance of a service member and experience throughout the mobilization, which is uniformly shared by the family of that individual.

Notably, the article completely supports my topic by describing some of the impacts of deployments on the families of the servicemen. In addition, the article has some data that is quite new to me. I was unaware of the deteriorating results of stress for children of deployed servicemen. Stress caused by deployments is a recognized fact. The long-lasting influences of stress on kids due to these deployments are among the questions and argument that should be reflected.

The study focuses on the impacts of deployments to kids of military families. It illustrates fascinating trends and connections between how regularly a parent is deployed and what impacts it can hold on the marriage and children over time. The authors concluded that awareness and action need to be taken to appreciate and assist the children at risk as early as possible. After establishing the model and if it continues to be unchecked, these kids may find it quite challenging to become reliable members of the community.

Significantly, this article showed and described, in particular, the incidents that took place for a family over many years such as from the father’s first deployment to his sixth deployment. The article sheds some information on the long-term influences of various deployments on a family for more than six deployments. The article shows a benefit to seeking out more statistics from groups that both parents have deployed from to relate and check for comparisons. The article, therefore, poses a question if there should be a limited number of the deployed American servicemen.

This article was written by Swenson and Wolff (2011) focusing to increase the recognition of the conditions that may arise in the family system before and after military member’s deployment. The writers concluded that every individual in the family is concerned when a parent deploys. Furthermore, they said that families that experience the weakest point of negative influence and behavioral wellness matters are healthy families before deployment. The article conforms with my topic by revealing some of the circumstances that result in the family changes prior, during, and later when a parent is chosen for a service deployment.

Additionally, the article notes a very genuine and popular walk within the emotional toll that deployments have on modern parents. After reading the article, I am left with many queries such as what are we doing to better and to fight these kinds of tensions before they happen. Moreover, I wonder how a healthy family is described, and what actions the United States Government is practicing to prepare families over deployments.
